Mason Chasteen, PA-C

Biography

Mason Chasteen, PA-C grew up in Columbia, SC and went on to graduate magna cum laude from Furman University in Greenville, SC. She received her Masters in Physician Assistant studies from the Medical University of South Carolina. Mason is board certified by the NCCPA and is credentialed at Mission Hospital.

Prior to working in western North Carolina, Mason was at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) where she worked in the department of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Working alongside the UAB surgeons, Mason received extensive training in the medical and surgical management of diseases affecting the face, mouth, and jaws. Mason ran a facial pain clinic where she provided care for patients with temporomandibular joint disease, myofascial pain, and bruxism. She was also involved in the care of patients with facial trauma and head and neck cancer.

Prior to UAB, Mason worked in the emergency department at Spartanburg Medical Center, a Level I trauma center in South Carolina. She received a broad experience in the management of urgent and emergency care, including facial trauma, dental infections, and medical emergencies.

Mason and her husband Brandon Chasteen, DMD enjoy hiking, running, cooking, and playing with their border collie, Artie. They have recently had their first child.

Mason works at our Asheville Medical Park location.
