Biography
Eric Warburton was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Utah and his dental degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, graduating summa cum laude. He went on to receive his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and completed his internship in general surgery and residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of North Carolina Hospitals. After residency, Dr. Warburton practiced in East Tennessee before joining Rockcliff Oral & Facial Surgery in Western North Carolina.
Dr. Warburton focuses his surgical practice on corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma surgery, and advanced implant procedures, including full-arch and zygomatic implants. He also provides comprehensive care, including wisdom teeth removal and other oral surgery procedures.
He maintains staff privileges at Mission Hospital, the region’s tertiary referral center, where he treats both routine and complex surgical cases. Dr. Warburton is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, and multiple local medical and dental societies.

Personal Interests
Dr. Warburton and his wife Emily have two sons and a daughter. He enjoys hiking, biking, painting, photography (check out the artwork in the Waynesville office!), and exploring the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.
